Padang

Location

Padang is located on the western coast of Sumatra and is the capital and largest city of West Sumatra Province with a population of approximately 800,000 people. It is the main tourism gate to the west coast of Sumatra Island.
A group of small islands with a variety of different dive sites within the Indian Ocean are on small islands off the coast of Padang. There is also the attractive hull of the Kapal Wreck, easy to dive as it is at a shallow position.
